With a new year, a brand NEW YEAR comes a GIFT for YOU! A VERY PRECIOUS GIFT just for you! From the Heavens above you have received another very precious gift. Imagine it wrapped in a beautiful box, colored blue, with a BIG bow colored with your favorite color!
What is it? Open it! See? It’s BEAUTIFUL and oh! so PRECIOUS: 525,600 minutes! In 2009 you have been reserved 31,536,000 seconds! Did you read that? 31,536,000 seconds!!!
What are you going to do with them? That is where your focus should be as you begin the journey! How will you treasure this precious gift of time?
Go within. How can you HONOR this precious gift? Ask the questions? You will see that by asking the questions, you will find the answers!
I have gone within. I always go within. For the past 7 years of my life I have began the habit of taking the New Year as an opportunity of getting a major look at my own “picture”. I look at it all from above. I mentally remove myself from it and look at it from high above. How does it look like? I am going in the direction of my Vision? How did I use MY GIFT of time? MY TIME! How do I intend to honor it moving into the New Year?
I keep reminding myself that it is not only “just another year” starting. It is 365 days, 52 weeks, and what I am doing each moment counts! With goals, with set intentions, it becomes so much easier to understand in which direction we are moving. I have lived without them, and I have lived with them. And having done both, I can firmly and knowledgeably say: I am so much happier when I have a sense of direction. I KNOW in my heart what I am working for.
I know what takes me out of bed in the morning. Do you? How clear is your WHY? In my experience, only by having set intentions for each moment of my life do I feel I am moving forward with my life’s vision, mission, and purpose….my life’s calling!
I always stop and go within. For this season and in line with wishing to have intentions set for the New Year, I would love to share a prayer with you. Inspired by the thoughts and Divine intentions behind the words in this prayer, I set my intentions for 2009. I encourage you to focus on the wisdom and divinity behind each word.

For each of the 52 weeks in 2009, I invite you to take one thought at a time and share it with the younger ones, ALL the Children, Teens, and Young Adults in your life. Bring them close to you, call them, and share with them these powerful and inspiring intentions. Then, each single week find ways to honor each one of these divine and sacred wishes with specific actions that allow them to be brought to life.
What do YOU choose to give attention to this New Year? What do YOU choose to share with your own Child and the Children in YOUR life this New Year?
I choose to model the behavior I am looking for in them. I therefore choose to live a life that honors each intention above.
Where there is a Child, where there is a young soul, may adults around them choose to bring them to the Light! May adults choose to BE the change they wish to witness in the future generations to come! For it is by example that we best lead!
May each adult choose to breath Spirit (inspire) into the lives of all the Children and Younger Ones around them!
Please hug all the Young Ones in your life for me. For I honor and treasure each one of them!

Dear DREAMERS, BELIEVERS, and INSPIRED,
Trust to find you in joy and at peace.
As the holiday season approaches, go to the Child, Teenager, or Young Adult in your life and ask them what they can do this season to GIVE? How do they choose to GIVE?
- Will they give of themselves to their loving family and honor them with their LOVE and RESPECT?
- Will they give of their time at a local Homeless Shelter to feed the hungry?
- Will they send a GRATITUDE greeting card to our Service Men and Women in the military away from their families this holiday season?
- Will they go to a Children’s Hospital and read to the Kids or teach them how to Tap?
What will they do?
- Will they ask for gifts to be given to them in the form of Cash so that they can in turn donate to the Children’s Heart or Cancer research centers or any other Children Charity program?
- Will they purchase a pair of TOMS shoes this holiday season so that a new pair of shoes is given to a Chlid in need?
- Will they donate to the Tappy Bear Foundation so that Children with terminal illnesses will receive their Tappy Bear this holiday to bring them emotional peace?
WHAT will they do? And what will you do to support them transforming this season into a season of GIVING?
- Toys to a Children shelter?
- Thoughtful notes to emotionally challenged Children?
What?
Can YOU think of something?
Take a moment and think about a “little” something! Think of a “little” something, for a “little” may actually represent a HUGE EVERYTHING to someone!
Now go on and share this with the YOUTH in your life. Any age, as long as they are younger than you (it does not hurt to encourage other adults to GIVE this holiday season as well) . If you have little ones, any age between 0-2 years old, you do something on their behalf, record it, take photos of it, and share with them the tradition of GIVING you started on their behalf. Talk to them about it, for they are listening as young as they may be.
As a Child and Youth Honoring Leader, I encourage you, I inspire you, I kindly ask you to choose touching the lives of those who are younger than you and teach them the magic of GIVING!

Honoring Children, Teens, and Young Adults

Go to your Child and whisper in her/his ear:
“Believe in yourself! I believe in you!’
Then hug them really tight!
In my Dream Believe Inspire group in Tampa Bay, Florida, my teenager group seems to go through challenges I believe when I was younger I did not go through, or perhaps I was just not tuned to them and somehow they went by without my conscious awareness.
The pressure is ON and our Teens get lost as to what they should believe. Believe the teachers, the parents, the other Kids who seem to be making good choices, the Kids who seem not to be making good choices. What is good anyhow?
We must encourage our Children to start believing in themselves. There is a number of lessons we have tought our Children since they came into our lives and those lessons become the foundation for them, the platform. They usually go back there to get answers to their most pressing questions.
If you believe there is something missing in that foundation, build upon it now. It still matters. It is never too late. If there are choices that will make your Teen feel empowered and confident, you must encourage them to believe they CAN make those choices.
Teach them to ask themselves before making a choice that seems to be challenging due to peer pressure or any other reason, teach them to stop, go within, and ask themselves if the choice they are about to make will empower them or limit them. Will it bring joy or despair? Will it benefit them or anyone around them or will it hurt them or someone around them? The answers to these questions will make them reach a choice so much easier and faster.
Now, what they must keep present is the BELIEF that they CAN make this choice despite what others around them think, say, or do. The BELIEF that they can make good choices, that they are couragous individuals who are smart about their choices and who will choose good over bad, fair over unfair, power over limitation, love over hatred, this BELIEF must be there. The BELIEF that they can will give them the courage to actually DO IT. AND this….THIS MAKES THEM BEGGINING TO BECOME ENLIGHTENED BEINGS WITH MINDS OF STEEL!
Encourage your Child to look for ways of being an Enlightened Individual with a Mind Of Steel. Look for ways YOU yourself can evidence and exhibit this very behavior. Teach them by example. And, each opportunity you have of sharing with them YOUR choices, share those with them. Talk to them about it. We all are humans and get off track at times, however, when we BELIEVE we can always DO better, we very quickly, without hesitatoin, stand up after the fall, and move on. We move on straight to that one place of KNOWING we CAN strive to be the highest version of ourserves AGAIN and AGAIN! Because we choose to be individuals with MINDS OF STEEL.
Do you BELIEVE YOU CAN teach this to your Child? Then YOU CAN!
